Abstract
A recent podcast by Wall Street Journal called “Why so few CEOs are Women” reveals that, in fact, hitting the proverbial glass ceiling is preceded by hitting the glass wall. Qualifications for senior leadership roles include diverse experiences – not only on the different technical aspects, but also in the financial aspects of the business (such as managing P&L responsibilities). Research shows that women face challenges, not only moving vertically up the ladder, but also moving laterally. These challenges could range from lack of information, to subtle cultural biases that both men and women perceive.
This fireside-chat style event will address this topic.
Alexis is a great role model in this regard. She will talk about her perspective and relevant experiences, and answer our questions with respect to recognizing and navigating past the 'glass walls'.
