Manuela Felicetti received both her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Roma Tre University (Rome, Italy). Inspiring mentors at the university piqued her curiosity and interests towards research in Photonics. In 2009, she moved to The Netherlands, where she completed her Ph.D. in Photonic Integration at the Technology University of Eindhoven. Her research on polarization converter devices and fiber sensors landed her an internship at the Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratory (Cambridge, Massachussets) for Photonic Integrated Circuits design and testing. Currently she works at Infinera (Sunnyvale, California) as Senior PIC Development Engineer for metro and long haul communications.
